Update 2020 Oncology Camp – COVID-19
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we decided to host this year’s Oncology Camp virtually. Following a recent survey we feel that a great majority of you would attend a virtual camp and felt it was a good idea.
“I would absolutely attend if it ran virtually!!!!” Love the idea!”
“I would attend the Camp even if it were to be virtually as I would like to use it as preparation for my boarding exam in 2021.”
Stay safe everyone and take care!
This year’s virtual camp is still planned as a 4-day event although the sessions’ schedule is under review. Oncological topics will be covered by specialists from an oncology, clinical pathology, surgery and radiotherapy perspective. We will focus on canine mast cell tumours and osteosarcomas and look at its newest treatment form, the vaccine. In-depth knowledge on basic radiobiology, principles of CT/MRI, and advanced molecular diagnostic techniques will be provided. A basic statistic session is planned to aid scientific writing. Sessions are divided into a lecture and interactive part giving you the chance to raise questions. An appropriate virtual platform will be chosen accordingly.
This year’s camp will be hosted remotely. We are in the process of choosing an appropriate platform to facilitate the camp, its’ values and our wishes to create experience that’s connects.
The Oncology Camp committee wishes to thank the following companies and organisations for sponsoring portions of the scientific and social programs at the upcoming 2020 Oncology Camp. The generosity of sponsors is passed on to the delegates in form of lower registration rates. If you are interested in sponsoring the Oncology Camp 2020, please contact us.
